About Us
Harry Potter knew that owls were a fabulous way of getting messages to one another, so why not come along to the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre at Balloch and find out more about the stunning birds we look after?
At the Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre, we pride ourselves on our customer care. Operating as a fully licensed zoo, we have a responsibility to educate members of the public on native species, and the global plight faced by many birds of prey. We provide each visitor with a guided tour, where possible. The tour ensures our visitors are educated about each species, more importantly, they learn about the individual character and history of every bird.
So why not come in and meet our feathered companions, get up close, have a photograph taken, or just wander around. Browse our Gift Shop, purchase a souvenir of your visit. Our visitors always leave enlightened, having learned a great deal more about birds of prey. Most are surprised at the number of species we have. All visitors comment on how close they can get to the birds, and appreciate their size and power. Above all, our visitors recognise the passion of the staff and volunteers who care for the birds.
We can't wait to see you all there!
Opening Times
January/February - MONDAY TO SUNDAY : 10.30 - 15.30
March/April/September/October - MONDAY TO SUNDAY : 10.00 - 17.00
May/June/July/August - MONDAY TO SATURDAY : 10.00 - 17.30 / SUNDAY : 10.00 - 17.00
November/December - MONDAY TO SUNDAY : 10.00 - 16.00
Open every day, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, & New Years Day. **
Please Note : As the guided tour normally lasts at least an hour, we recommend visitors arrive at least 30 minutes before closing time.
Flying Displays
As yet, we do not have established times for regular flying displays. Depending on visitor numbers, and scheduled activities, you may be treated to, or even participate in, a surprise flying event.
Entrance Fees
Under 5's - Free ; Children & Concessions - £2.50 ; Adults - £3.50. Family Tickets - £8.00 - £14.00 (Two adults & one child-Two adults and four children) Please note, pre-booked groups will be provided with group discount. Please contact us to discuss visits incorporating falconry activities.
