Do you wish to marry in front of a large group of family and friends beside the Loch, or would you prefer a religious ceremony in a church followed by an intimate dinner in a hotel? In Scotland a ceremony can take place at any time and at any place, provided your minister agrees to it. Banns are not necessary, but you must give your chosen register office 15 days notice of your intention to marry.
